Fastest Way from LaGuardia to Manhattan 🗽✨

Arriving at LaGuardia no longer means a complicated or expensive trip into the city. In this 19-second video you will see how simple it is to get from the airport straight into Manhattan. The Q70 LaGuardia Link bus boards at Terminals B, C, and D and the best part is that the ride is completely free. In just a few minutes you are at Jackson Heights where the subway connects you directly to Manhattan. From the airport curbside to the heart of the city usually takes about 35 to 45 minutes depending on the time of day.

The video captures the rhythm of this journey, from stepping off your flight to catching the free Q70, gliding through Queens streets, and transferring seamlessly onto the subway that delivers you into the energy of Manhattan. What once felt like a hassle is now smooth, affordable, and efficient, putting world-class restaurants, luxury towers, and iconic neighborhoods within easy reach.

LaGuardia Airport
2025/8/26 Edited to

... Read moreNavigating LaGuardia (LGA) for the first time can feel a bit daunting, especially when you're eager to get to Manhattan. I used to think a taxi or rideshare was the only option, but honestly, this public transport route using the Q70 bus and subway is a total game-changer. It's not just the fastest and cheapest way in my experience; it's surprisingly simple and incredibly efficient! When you land, just follow the clear signs for Ground Transportation or Buses. The free Q70 shuttle, also widely known as the LaGuardia Link, is super easy to spot. You'll find it right outside Terminals B and C. Look for the distinct blue and white bus – they run incredibly frequently, usually every 10-15 minutes, so you won't be waiting long. It's truly a completely free ride, making it the perfect start to your budget-friendly NYC adventure right from the airport curbside, bypassing expensive alternatives. The Q70 bus ride itself is remarkably quick, averaging about 15 minutes, and takes you directly to the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue/74 Street Broadway subway station. This particular station is a bustling major hub, which means excellent connectivity to virtually anywhere in Manhattan. Once you hop off the Q70 shuttle, the subway entrance is literally just steps away – no need to worry about complex navigation; it's very clearly marked and designed for easy transfers. This is where you'll pay your subway fare, which is currently just $2.90. For the ultimate convenience, I highly recommend using OMNY (the tap-to-pay system) with your credit/debit card or smartphone directly at the turnstile. You can also purchase a MetroCard if you prefer, but OMNY has truly simplified the process for travelers. From Jackson Heights, you have several reliable subway lines that can whisk you into Manhattan. The most popular and often fastest choice for reaching Midtown Manhattan is the 7 subway line, which is known for its efficiency. However, you also have access to the E, F, M, and R trains, allowing you to reach various parts of the city with ease, whether you're heading to Times Square, Greenwich Village, the Lower East Side, or even further downtown. The beauty of this integrated system is its seamless efficiency; the transfer is quick, and you're underground and heading into the city in what feels like no time at all. I was genuinely amazed at how smoothly I went from stepping off my flight to hopping on the train towards the heart of the city. In total, this entire journey from LaGuardia to Midtown Manhattan usually clocks in at a fantastic 35 to 45 minutes, depending on the time of day and how quickly you make your connection. It's undeniably the fastest way from LaGuardia to Manhattan using public transport, often beating taxis stuck in traffic. While the bus and subway can get crowded during peak rush hours, the high frequency of both services helps keep things moving smoothly. A little tip from my own travels: if you have very large or multiple pieces of luggage, maneuvering them on a crowded subway can be a bit challenging, but it's totally manageable if you're prepared and travel during off-peak hours. This entire LGA link Q70 route truly makes traveling from LGA to NYC stress-free, incredibly affordable, and surprisingly quick. It’s the public transit solution I always recommend now, making your arrival in the Big Apple as easy as possible!
