The Apology You Never Received
One of the hardest parts of healing is realizing that the person who hurt you may never fully acknowledge what they did.
You may never hear the apology you rehearsed in your mind. They may minimize it, rewrite the story or act as though nothing happened.
But their refusal to take responsibility does not erase your experience.
Closure can be the moment you stop needing them to agree with the truth you lived.
You know what it cost you. You know how hard you worked to rebuild yourself. And you know what you will never allow again.
That can be enough.
You don’t have to keep the door open while waiting for an apology that may never arrive. You are allowed to close it yourself.
Comment “I CHOOSE PEACE” if you’re releasing the need for their understanding.
Follow The Muse Method for reminders that help you choose yourself again.
