Drowning

It’s also vital to educate the entire family about water safety rules and keep rescue aids, such as life rings and flotation devices, nearby. Moreover, teaching children basic swimming skills as early as possible can increase their confidence and water survival chances. While toddlers should never be left alone near any body of water—including bathtubs, buckets, or ponds—I found that vigilant supervision combined with safety devices and education creates a safer home environment. Remember, boys statistically face a higher risk of drowning, so extra attention might be needed. By proactively implementing these strategies, you help prevent tragic accidents and ensure your child’s safety during swim time and everyday water exposure.
