One Room Changed Our Entire House
You know when you start one project and somehow accidentally fix five other things along the way? 😂
We needed a homeschool space, but we didn’t have an extra room just sitting around waiting for us. So instead, we started looking at how we could make the space we already have work better for our family.
The playroom is still a playroom — it just has another job now. 🤍 We moved cabinets downstairs for homeschool storage, rearranged what was left upstairs, and Jake made the new countertop out of leftover wood from work.
Somehow that dominoed into a coffee bar, a little workspace for me, a kitchen that functions better, AND a space for us to homeschool.
Turns out we didn’t need more space. We just needed to use what we already had differently.
And before anybody comes for me about the tape on the wall 😂 — yes, we know. We still have to mud all the holes and paint. We’re using the room while we finish it because apparently I’m learning that things don’t have to be completely finished before we can enjoy them.
