quest protein chips - my thoughts…
honestly these were kinda gross and I am so disappointed!
I made a taco bowl and everything else was perfect….until I tasted the chip. It had the most unignorable artificial cheese flavor. That may be right up other people's alleys but definitely not mine lol. The texture and everything else was perfect but the seasoning on the chip was not it!
I don't like cheese at all so if anyone wants to suggest good protein chips that don't taste like cheddar cheese that would be great!

Totally get where you're coming from with the Quest Loaded Taco protein chips! That 'overwhelming artificial cheese flavor' can definitely be a deal-breaker. I've had similar experiences where a snack promises so much, especially with '19g protein and 4g net carbs' which sounds amazing for a healthy option, but the taste just doesn't deliver on all fronts. It's so interesting how taste buds differ, but for many, that super strong, artificial cheese taste in the Loaded Taco flavor is just a bit too much. While the 'good texture' is often a highlight for Quest chips, the seasoning truly makes or breaks the entire chip experience, especially when you're looking for a satisfying crunch without compromising on flavor. When people ask, 'do Quest chips taste good?' it really boils down to individual preference and flavor profile. For me, if the artificial cheese note is too prominent, it overshadows any potential goodness. Speaking of healthy, Quest protein chips are frequently marketed as a healthier alternative to traditional potato chips. With their impressive protein content (like the 19g protein noted on the bag you tried) and low net carbs (4g net carbs!), they certainly offer a good post-workout boost or a satisfying snack that can help keep you fuller longer. However, 'healthy' can mean different things to different people. For some, the artificial ingredients or alternative sweeteners might be a concern. It's always a good idea to check the full nutrition label and ingredient list to see if it aligns with your personal dietary goals and sensitivities. For me, the health benefits are a bonus, but taste is still paramount. Since you're on the hunt for non-cheesy protein chips, you're definitely not alone! Many people, myself included, struggle to find high-protein snacks that don't lean heavily on cheddar or nacho cheese flavors. If you're open to trying other Quest varieties, their 'Pizza Chips' flavor is one that some people enjoy, though it still has a savory profile that might not entirely escape a 'cheesy' undertone for a sensitive palate. Another option to explore might be brands that offer simpler, less intense seasonings like sea salt, barbecue, or even spicy options that aren't cheese-based. For example, I've had good luck with some brands offering chili lime or mesquite BBQ protein chips that avoid that strong artificial cheese note. It might take a bit of trial and error, but finding a protein chip that genuinely satisfies your cravings without that artificial cheese kick is totally worth it! Don't give up on finding your perfect 'high protein' snack – there are so many innovative products out there now, and your quest for the ideal non-cheesy option is totally valid.

Thank you for your honest opinion…I have seen so many others say they taste good and I just couldn’t make myself believe it enough to try them lol
