Hydrating Lemonade That Tastes Like Summer
This Hydrating Lemonade Is the Summer Glow-Up
I’m obsessed with this homemade Cucumber Mint Strawberry Lemonade—it’s refreshing, full of flavor, and loaded with ingredients your body will love!
It’s perfect after a workout, for a wellness reset, or just to sip on when you want something pretty and naturally sweet without the heavy sugars. Plus, the ginger and mint combo? Total bloat-reducing magic.
⬇️Here’s how I make it⬇️
Ingredients:
2 cucumbers, sliced
A handful of strawberries, sliced (this is optional, I added these in because they were about to go bad)
A big bunch of fresh mint
1 fresh lemon
1 fresh lime
1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced
2–3 tbsp agave syrup (adjust to taste)
1 cup hot water
Organic lemonade to top (or use 6 cups water + 1 more lemon if avoiding store-bought)
Instructions:
Add cucumber, strawberries, mint, lemon, lime, and ginger to a large carafe or pitcher. You can also just juice these like I typically do with my juicer and add the water and other stuff to the juice blend.
In a separate bowl, mix the agave syrup with 1 cup hot water until fully blended.
Pour the sweetened water over the fruit mix or into the juice.
Top with organic lemonade OR 6 cups of cold water and a squeeze of extra lemon.
Stir well, chill, and let it infuse for 1–2 hours (or overnight for max flavor).
It’s crisp, naturally sweet, and feels like a spa drink, but better! Also you can add a tequila shot if you want to make it into a cocktail 🍹

Okay, seriously, this strawberry cucumber mint lemonade isn't just a drink; it's an experience! I first stumbled upon a similar recipe looking for something truly refreshing and healthy, and this homemade version quickly became my go-to. It’s not just about the incredible taste; it’s about how good it makes you feel from the inside out. Let's talk about those amazing ingredients. Cucumbers are like little hydration powerhouses, packed with water and electrolytes, which is perfect after a long day or a workout. Then you have strawberries, bursting with Vitamin C and antioxidants, giving your skin that natural glow. The mint isn't just for flavor; it's fantastic for digestion and can really help calm an upset stomach or reduce bloating – that's my secret weapon right there! And of course, lemons and limes bring that zesty detox kick, while ginger adds a lovely warmth and even more anti-inflammatory benefits. It truly feels like a spa drink, but one you can easily whip up in your own kitchen. I often use my juicer for a super smooth blend, especially if I'm in a hurry, which makes incorporating all these fresh fruits and veggies even easier. Just juice the cucumbers, strawberries, mint, lemon, lime, and ginger, then mix with the sweetened water and top with organic lemonade or plain water for a lighter touch. It creates this beautiful green lemonade that's as pretty as it is delicious, and you get all the nutrients without any pulp. Want to switch it up? Sometimes I swap agave for a touch of maple syrup or even a few Medjool dates blended into the hot water for a different kind of natural sweetness. For a sparkling twist, I'll top it with soda water instead of still water. And yes, as the original recipe hints, it makes an incredible base for a refreshing summer cocktail – just add a splash of gin or vodka for an adult version! You can even pour it into popsicle molds for healthy, hydrating treats on a hot day. To keep it fresh, I usually store it in a sealed pitcher in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. The flavors actually deepen overnight, so making it ahead is a great idea. Trust me, once you try this homemade strawberry cucumber mint lemonade, you'll be obsessed too!
