Cleburne State Park is worth the drive for the lake alone. Cedar Lake is spring-fed, calm, and shallow enough near the shore that you can float around for hours. Bring a floaty, bring snacks, make a day of it. The swimming was the best part of the whole visit. The dam holding that lake back
