You don't have to figure it all out

I get it, its the last day of the year. You feel terrible having not accomplish anything worth celebrating. Not gotten that driver's license, not getting rid of that toxic friend, haven't saved up your first $50k.

The thing about this is, it isn't a competition, it isn't a strict timeline you need to follow. You can get that driver's license anytime you want, when your schedule allows. You will eventually get rid of that super toxic friend or out of a toxic relationship when you find the courage to do it. You will get to that $50k some day, its just not gonna be this year.

Yes i also get that setting goals are important but it doesn't have to be the end of the year. You can set a goal ANYTIME, why feel the need to be pressurized and stressed at the end of the year?

Know that you surviving everyday is the greatest acheivement. Surviving in this world full of hate, jealousy, doubt is worth celebrating. Know that getting through this year was tough but you have the right resources to get you through. Know that what you are doing is enough, anything more than simply surviving are just bonus points.

You are doing great my friend, you are not alone and you never will be. You can do anything you put your heart to it, just take it slow and steady at your own pace and you'll be where you need to be.

... Read moreReflecting on the message that you don’t need to have everything figured out, I want to share how this mindset has helped me as well. Often, I felt overwhelmed by deadlines and societal expectations, especially towards the end of the year when the pressure to complete goals seems highest. But embracing the idea that achieving milestones like obtaining a driver's license or saving money doesn’t have to follow a strict schedule really changed my mental space. One key lesson I've learned is that survival itself—getting through each day despite challenges—is one of the greatest achievements. Life throws us difficulties like toxic relationships, financial struggles, or self-doubt that aren’t always visible to others. Acknowledging that overcoming these is valuable helps reduce the guilt or frustration about unmet goals. It also shifts the focus from comparison to personal growth. Another insight is that setting goals can happen any time, not just at the start or end of a year. For me, breaking big goals into smaller, manageable steps eased the pressure and kept motivation alive. I set timelines that fit my lifestyle rather than adhering to societal norms. When I eventually obtained my driver’s license, it felt much more rewarding because it was on my terms, not rushed due to arbitrary deadlines. By allowing ourselves grace, we open the door to self-compassion and sustainable progress. We are not alone in this journey; sharing these feelings with friends or online communities often brings enormous support and encouragement. Remember, each person moves at their own pace, and what matters most is that you continue moving forward, however slowly. The courage to prioritize your wellbeing over external expectations is a triumph worth celebrating every day.
