Cut the petals: For each rose, cut the book pages into spiral shapes. Start from the outer edge of the page and spiral inward, making sure your strip of paper is about 1/2 inch to 1 inch wide. The inner part of the spiral will be smaller, forming the center of your rose. You can vary the width for different sized petals.
