healthy love has space in it. closeness doesn’t mean constant access.

When I started respecting my partner’s need for alone time without panicking, our bond grew stronger. One tip I found incredibly helpful is to pause and really assess what you’re feeling before reacting—this aligns perfectly with using tools like the Groundly app to sort anxious thoughts. It taught me not to overload my partner with every anxious feeling but to communicate clearly when necessary. Also, understanding that my partner is not my therapist was a big step. Over-sharing every anxious or negative emotion drains both people. Instead, I learned to process my feelings independently first, which made my conversations more meaningful and less overwhelming. Building internal security rather than seeking constant reassurance has helped me feel more confident in myself and my relationship. It prevents emotional exhaustion and supports a healthier dynamic. Ultimately, healthy love thrives with space, trust, and self-awareness. Closeness means connection, not constant access. When you respect these boundaries, the relationship can grow with mutual respect and emotional balance.

I'm just gonna say that this is horrible, first, don't take any of the first one as a sign to stop telling your feelings. you need to share how you felt about that and what you were thinking bc if not then you were not heard and it becomes a big mess down the road if you put it off, the second, although your partner is not your therapist it's ok to vent just always respect your partners boundaries. the there'd one makes this seem like an add so its just usless to say anything, and the fourth one needs to be deleted, it's ok to need reassurance, I need it constantly because your girl is Insecure (bc I have a past) as long as your not being crazy thinking they are cheating and you start harassing them about it, and the fifth one is just just basic human respect. we need to stop making it seem as if it only applies to people we love. it applies to everyone even animals need time alone 😭
