That’s just my alter ego Emre Sarioğlu
When I wore this at a convention a guy came up to me and said “sick cosplay bro” and I was like thanks man.. but the horror on his face when he heard my voice was hilarious. He then was like uhhh uhh im so sorry and he scurried away. But for me that was the best compliment I could ever receive. 🙂↕️

Cosplaying is such a unique form of self-expression, allowing us to dive into the personalities of characters we admire or relate to. When I chose to cosplay Emre, a character from Overwatch, it was more than just putting on a costume—it felt like stepping into an alter ego that gave me a fresh perspective on interaction and confidence. One of the funniest parts about cosplaying Emre was witnessing people’s reactions, especially when their expectations based on appearance clashed with reality, such as hearing my voice. It was surprising and often amusing to see how people adjusted quickly once they realized it was me behind the cosplay. This candidness connects deeply with the cosplay community and fans who appreciate authenticity and passion. The hashtag culture in the cosplay world, like #overwatch, #emre, and #overwatchcosplay, helps to bring together enthusiasts and create a vibrant, supportive network. Sharing these moments online and at conventions builds camaraderie and encourages more people to explore characters they love. Embracing an alter ego like Emre not only enriches the cosplay experience but also empowers us to celebrate facets of ourselves we might keep hidden in daily life. It’s these genuine and memorable moments that make cosplay so rewarding and continuously inspiring. Whether you’re an experienced cosplayer or just starting out, stepping into an alter ego is a fantastic way to grow creatively and socially.
