In moments where I felt defeated or overwhelmed, remembering the scripture from Proverbs 24:16—that a righteous person falls seven times but rises again—has been a profound encouragement. I’ve found that 'picking up my cross daily' doesn't always look neat or triumphant. Sometimes, it means shedding tears of repentance, quietly praying for strength, and choosing to continue walking with God despite my weaknesses. Grace, I’ve realized, is transformative rather than permissive. It’s not about being comfortable in our failings but about experiencing God’s love and change even amid those failures. This journey requires daily surrender and an openness to growth, praying for patience when progress feels slow. Every new day offers a fresh opportunity to embrace God’s guidance, learn from mistakes, and strengthen faith. Persistence in this walk cultivates resilience and deeper intimacy with God. Sharing this honestly, I encourage anyone feeling discouraged to remember that falling short is human, but God’s call to rise again is constant and loving. Embracing this truth has helped me to accept grace as an active force in my life—covering, changing, and renewing me each day.
