Drink More Water!

When choosing a #waterbottle picking a durable one that you will want to use is important! It doesn’t have to be expensive! 🩷

Also straws! Drinking #water with a straw will make it easier! You’ll find yourself just sipping without thinking about it! 🥤

Logging water and setting reminders can keep you on track! My Fitbit app is my preference because I can keep track of everything, if you have an Apple Watch you probably have a similar interface! ⌚️

There are also other #apps you can use that have cute features and reminders! Plantnanny is a personal fave!

Most importantly, choose water instead of soda or juice when eating meals! It will help you meet your #goal and prevents you from drinking empty #calories

... Read moreOkay, so we all know we should drink more water, but actually doing it consistently? That's the real challenge! I used to struggle big time, constantly forgetting or just not feeling motivated. But I've found that logging my water intake and using reminder apps has been an absolute game-changer for me. It's not just about tracking; it's about building a habit and staying accountable. Firstly, let's talk about logging your water. It might sound like an extra step, but trust me, it’s worth it. When you actively record each glass or bottle, you become so much more aware of how much you're truly drinking throughout the day. Before I started, I thought I was doing okay, but my log quickly showed me I was barely halfway to my goal! Seeing that visual progress (or lack thereof) is a powerful motivator. Many water tracking apps make this super easy. They often have quick-add buttons for common glass sizes, or you can customize your own. It literally takes seconds. Now, for the lifesavers: water reminder apps. These are my secret weapon! I've tried a few, but my favorites really stood out. For instance, Plant Nanny is fantastic if you're into a bit of gamification. You get a cute little plant that grows as you drink water. If you forget, your plant wilts – and trust me, you don't want to be a plant killer! It makes hydration feel less like a chore and more like a fun game with a tangible reward. The reminders are customizable, so you can set them to pop up every hour or whenever suits your schedule. Then there's Fitbit. If you already use a fitness tracker, their app is probably already on your phone and it integrates seamlessly. I love that I can track my water alongside my steps, sleep, and workouts. It gives me a holistic view of my health, and seeing how hydration impacts my energy levels and overall well-being is incredibly motivating. Plus, it's super easy to log a specific amount of water directly after a workout when I know I need to rehydrate. But it's not just about the apps. My experience taught me that pairing these digital tools with physical aids works wonders. Having a really good water bottle that I actually want to use makes a huge difference. Like, seriously, investing in a cute one with a straw, similar to a Hydro Flask, was a game-changer. I find myself just sipping away without even thinking about it, especially when I'm busy working. And those apps remind me to refill it! Setting up your app correctly is key. I recommend: Setting realistic goals: Start with a goal you know you can achieve, then gradually increase it. Customizing reminders: Experiment with frequency. I found hourly reminders worked best for me, but maybe you prefer every two hours. Making it visible: Keep your water bottle handy, and make sure those app notifications are hard to miss. By combining the simple act of logging with timely reminders from apps like Plant Nanny or Fitbit, and having a great water vessel, I finally managed to consistently drink enough water. It’s helped me feel less sluggish, improved my skin, and even curbed my cravings for sugary drinks. Give it a try, and you might be surprised how quickly you hit your hydration goals!

Also, if you don’t love the taste of plain water you could look at putting fruit in it bc it’ll taste slightly like the fruit!!
