Creating my dream boho nursery ✨

When I found out I was expecting, one of my biggest joys was planning the nursery! Since we decided to keep the baby's gender a surprise, creating a truly gender neutral boho nursery became my mission. I wanted a space that felt warm, inviting, and peaceful, full of natural textures and soft colors that would grow with our little one. Opting for a boho theme was a natural choice for its earthy palette and focus on organic materials. I learned quickly that you don't need everything to be a perfect matching set. In fact, embracing mismatched nursery furniture can add so much character! For instance, my white crib from Walmart pairs beautifully with the beige rocking chair from Wayfair, and the dresser from Overstock, which actually has a slightly different finish. The trick is to ensure a consistent color palette (think whites, natural woods, and creams) and tie it all together with accessories like the same leather pulls or a similar finish. This approach made the room feel more unique and less like it came straight out of a catalog. One of my favorite functional-yet-stylish elements is the setup around the changing station. Placing a nursery mirror above dresser was a design decision I absolutely love. Our large round mirror, a find from Sam's Club, not only brightens the room by reflecting light but also serves a practical purpose. It makes the changing area feel more open and complete. Just remember to always secure mirrors firmly to the wall with appropriate anchors for safety, especially in a nursery! Complementing this, a tall woven lamp from Target adds a soft glow for late-night changes. To keep things organized and visually appealing, I incorporated several storage solutions. Those white floating shelves from Amazon are fantastic for displaying books and small decorative items like a globe or a wooden sign, keeping them off the floor and within easy reach as our son grows. A large woven laundry basket, also from Target, blends seamlessly into the decor while providing practical storage. The patterned rug anchors the whole space, adding another layer of texture and comfort underfoot. Even little details like the framed forest prints from Etsy above the crib contribute to that serene, nature-inspired vibe. Every piece, from the crib and rocking chair to the dresser with its stylish leather pulls, was chosen to create a cohesive yet diverse look. It truly feels like a dream space for our little boy, proving that a gender-neutral space can be absolutely beautiful and full of personality!
