Why is this platform so hateful?

Truly on my main account on Lemon8 it’s so hateful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such disgusting comments under post of people just being happy and living their own lives. Honestly watching a new mom minding her own business and talk about issues with giving birth while also talking about the joys of motherhood she got nothing but hate comments under her post. People sent nasty messages about her for not smiling when she looked like she was having a conversation and the photo was poorly timed. Then people insulted her freshly postpartum body keep in mind that photo was taken about five minutes after she gave birth. The comments were truly nasty and horrible even now on a brand new post it was a woman hating on people with septum piercings call people with those piercings pigs and cows and insulting the culture around the piercings. I’ve been on the internet since I was a baby and I’ve never seen so much hate on a platform before. We need to do better as a community and as a group learn to love one another instead of hate be kind to each other. Our world is falling apart already why contribute when we can be kind to each other.
