Some Books I Wish Were More Popular
These are some books I've read in the past that I loved/really liked, but was kinda disappointed to find they're hardly ever talked about.
📖 A Curse So Dark and Lonely is a Beauty and the Beast Retelling; a YA Fantasy about a girl with Cerebral Palsy pulled into a magical world by a prince with a big problem and his commander with one goal in mind, break the curse, save the kingdom.
📖 we are the ants is an amusing, yet deep book about a boy regularly kidnapped by aliens. They give him an option, press the big red button to save the world from ending, only with everything going wrong in his life, everything, he's not so sure he wants to. Save the world or clean the slate and end his pain.
📖 I Hope You're Listening is about Dee, a girl with a True Crime Podcast, a podcast she made to cope with the kidnapping of her best friend 10 years before, her friend she was with at the time. When another little girl goes missing she has a big decision to make, ignore it, or use her podcast to help & risk exposing her identity.
📖 The Perfect Place to Die is a horror, true crime book taking place in late 19th century Chicago. When her sister goes missing she has to find out what happened to her. Moving away to follow her sister whereabouts, only to find herself working and investigating a hotel where she suspects her sister went missing. The hotel however, is not what it seems.
While these aren't my favorite books of all time, they are up on the list and are just, in my opinion, veryyy underrated. If you've read or plan to read any of these, let me know what you think! 🤗
