I recently popped into the old Fharmacy spot in Mid-City, and it's now home to an absolute gem called *Cause and The Cure*. Honestly, I was curious, and what I found was a culinary surprise I never saw coming. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was super chill and welcoming – definitely a great spot to hang out with friends or grab a casual bite. The menu is where things get really interesting. You've got to appreciate a place that dares to combine two of my favorite comfort foods: smash burgers and Korean corn dogs! It sounds like an unlikely pairing, but trust me, it works wonderfully. I decided to dive right in and ordered one of their signature double-patty smash burgers. The patty was perfectly seared, juicy, and topped with melty cheese and crispy bacon – honestly, one of the best burgers I've had in a while. But the real showstopper for me was when I tried their *peanut butter smash burger*. Yes, you read that right – peanut butter! It sounds wild, but the savory beef, crisp bacon, and creamy peanut butter created this incredible sweet and savory explosion in my mouth. I've been seeing these everywhere, and Cause and The Cure's version did not disappoint. They have various K-DOGS options, from classic mozzarella to a half-sausage, half-cheese combo, all with a perfectly crispy, slightly sweet batter. You can even choose from different toppings and sauces which really lets you customize your experience. I went for the classic cheese one with a drizzle of spicy mayo – pure bliss! This place isn't just about the food, though. The interior has a cool, relaxed bar atmosphere, making it a great spot for an afternoon snack or an evening drink. It's awesome to see such an innovative concept taking over a well-known location.
