B Energy Reset

My “B” Era: Busy, Bold, and a Little Bit of a Handful

I’ve been in this very specific season where everything feels like the letter B: busy, brave, better, boundaries… and yes, being a handful 😮‍💨. Not in a “look at me” way—more like, I’m finally honest about what I need, what I won’t tolerate, and what makes me feel like the best version of me.

And before anyone gets scared: being a handful doesn’t mean being impossible. It means I’m full. Full of feelings, full of plans, full of opinions, full of “wait… actually, I changed my mind” moments. If somebody wants soft and silent, that’s cute… but it’s not me. If somebody wants a woman who can hold her own and still be sweet? Oh, I can do that. That’s literally the vibe.

Get to Know Me (Because I’m New Here)

I’m new to Lemon8, so let me do the little “get to know me” moment without making it cringe. I’m the type who can be all over the place and still somehow make it make sense. One minute I’m deep in my feelings, next minute I’m planning my next meal, next minute I’m hyping myself up like I’m about to walk into a movie scene.

Some quick personality breadcrumbs: I’m a Gemini Moon kind of person (aka my emotions have Wi-Fi and they connect to everything). I love a “Phoenix” energy—like, I’ll rebuild myself as many times as I need to. And yes, I’m giving Gryffindor: bold heart, impulsive confidence, and I will absolutely gas my friends up like it’s my job.

My intention on this app is simple: I want my personality to come through. Not the polished version. The real one. The one that has a routine… but also randomly decides to switch it up because the mood changed. If you’re like that too, you’re safe with me.

Pole Dancing = Confidence I Can Actually Feel

I’m currently a pole dance enthusiast, and I don’t say that lightly. Pole has been one of the only things that made me feel confident in a way that wasn’t just “I look good.” It’s more like: I can do hard things. I can learn. I can fall, laugh, try again, and still feel proud.

And I really believe nobody is exempt from insecurities. Not the pretty girls, not the loud girls, not the “seems like she has it together” girls. Insecurities are sneaky. They show up in mirrors, in group photos, in silence, in relationships, in the way you overthink a text for 40 minutes.

Pole helped me starve mine—not by pretending they don’t exist, but by giving me something stronger to focus on: progress. When I land a move I’ve been working on, it’s like my brain finally shuts up for a second and goes, “Okay… you did that.” That feeling is addictive in the healthiest way.

My Relationship Standard: No Social Media Men (Please and Thank You)

I said what I said: I like my men with no social media. Please and thank yewwww. Not because I’m trying to hide anybody (I’m not doing secret relationships like it’s a spy mission). It’s because I love peace. I love presence. I love someone who doesn’t need to perform their life for strangers.

There’s something so attractive about a person who’s just… living. Not posting every thought. Not collecting attention. Not following a thousand random accounts like it’s a hobby. Just grounded. Just real. Just here.

And yes, I know, “But what if he’s not on social media and he’s still messy?” True. Offline doesn’t automatically mean emotionally mature. But for me, it’s a green flag because it usually comes with less noise. Less comparison. Less weird energy. More “let’s go eat and talk and actually look at each other.”

I’m a Handful… That’s Why He Got Two Hands

This line is funny, but it’s also kind of my truth 😮‍💨😘. I’m not the girl who’s going to shrink herself to be easier to hold. I’m not going to pretend I don’t care. I’m not going to act chill when something isn’t sitting right with me.

Being a handful, to me, means:

1) I communicate. Even when it’s awkward. Even when my voice shakes. Even when I’d rather disappear.

2) I have standards. Not “unrealistic fantasy” standards—just the basics: respect, consistency, emotional safety, and effort.

3) I’m passionate. About my goals, my growth, my people, my peace. If I love you, you’ll feel it.

4) I’m not for everybody. And that’s not sad. That’s actually the point.

If someone wants me, they’re going to have to be able to hold my personality without trying to fold it into something smaller. And if they can’t? That’s okay. I’m not here to beg for space in somebody’s life. Thanks in advance, king.

What I Eat When I’m Trying to Feel Like “Me” Again

Food is such a big part of my mood, and I don’t mean that in a strict or obsessive way. I mean it in a “when I feed myself well, I feel cared for” way. I’m not here to give medical advice or pretend there’s one perfect way to eat. I’m just sharing what helps me feel energized, confident, and stable—especially on days when my brain is doing the most.

When I’m in my reset era, I lean into meals that are:

Warm (because comfort matters), balanced (because I like feeling steady), and easy (because I’m not trying to turn dinner into a stressful project).

A Simple “Birmingham Day” Food Rhythm (No Pressure, Just Real Life)

Some days I’m out and about, and I just want food that matches the pace—quick, satisfying, and not going to have me crashing later. If I’m doing a city day (like a Birmingham kind of day), this is the general rhythm that keeps me feeling good:

Morning: I like starting with something that feels gentle but filling. Think eggs with toast, or yogurt with fruit, or oats if I want cozy energy. If I’m rushing, I’ll keep it simple and still try to get something in—because skipping breakfast always makes me feel like I’m playing catch-up with my mood.

Midday: I need something that actually holds me. A bowl situation. A wrap situation. A plate with protein and something fresh. I’m not trying to be hungry and irritated in public. That’s not cute for me.

Afternoon: This is where I do a little snack moment. Something small but satisfying. If I don’t, I start getting that “why is everyone annoying me?” feeling, and it’s literally just hunger wearing a disguise.

Evening: Dinner is my comfort zone. I like something warm and real. Not too heavy, not too fussy. If I’m training (especially pole), I try to eat in a way that supports energy and recovery—again, not in a strict way, just in a “let me take care of my body because it’s taking care of me” way.

Confidence Isn’t a Look, It’s a Practice

This is the part I wish more people said out loud: confidence isn’t something you either have or don’t have. It’s something you practice. Some days I feel unstoppable. Some days I feel sensitive and weird and I want to hide. Both versions are me.

Pole dancing taught me that confidence can be built with reps—like literally showing up, trying again, and letting yourself be a beginner. That’s why it’s been such a game-changer for my self-esteem. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being present.

My “Best Time of My Life” Moments Are Usually Small

I’ve had big memories, sure. But the “best time of my life” feeling usually comes from little things that hit me out of nowhere:

Laughing so hard I can’t breathe.

Walking around a city with music in my ears and no rush in my chest.

Eating something so good I close my eyes for a second.

Landing a move in class and realizing my body is stronger than my doubts.

Having a conversation that feels safe.

Those moments make me feel rich in the way that matters.

Boundaries Are My Love Language (And My Peace Plan)

In my “B” era, boundaries are everything. Not the cold, harsh kind. The clear kind. The kind that says: this is what I can give, this is what I need, and this is what I’m not doing anymore.

Some boundaries I’m standing on lately:

I don’t chase. If it’s for me, it will meet me halfway.

I don’t over-explain. The right people don’t need a 10-page essay to treat me well.

I don’t compete. Not for attention, not for love, not for a spot in someone’s life.

I don’t abandon myself. Not for chemistry, not for potential, not for “maybe one day.”

If You’re Here for the Chaos and the Growth, You’re My People

I’m going to post like a real person: food days, confidence days, messy days, “I learned something” days, and “I changed my mind again” days. I want this space to feel like a little corner of motivation without the pressure to be perfect.

So if you’re also rebuilding, glowing up, learning your body, learning your boundaries, and trying to romanticize your life without losing your mind… yeah. Stay close. We’re doing this.

And to whoever is meant to hold all this energy: thanks in advance, king.
