Honey, I really hate to tell you this, but if your kids hate you it’s probably your fault. You didn’t communicate well enough with them. You can’t just say “no” and expect them to be okay with it, you can’t just make up rules and expect them to understand. You have to sit down and have an actual conversation with them about WHY you have those rules and WHY you said no. instead of letting that just be “no, and that’s final.” You say “no, here’s why, now let’s find a different activity.”. They’ll be upset, but if they are SO mad at you that they hate you then you NEED to find out WHY and where that misunderstanding is coming from. If you choose to accept that your child hates you then you’re accepting and playing into the problem instead of finding a solution. Our children learn from us, and if you never teach your child, how to solve problems and talk through their emotions then you’ll have bigger problems in the future.

I agree. I mean, that’s why we’re parents we’re not here to be their friends. Hopefully, when they get older, they’ll understand me
