Things I Did On My Last Contract ✨

Yall!!…..I’m back home and I’m in a reminiscing mood. 😂

There were many things I did on the carnival vista since I was there for 6 months singing and dancing my booty off. But these are my top 6!

1. Dancing the hardest but most fulfilling show Carnival Entertainment has!! “Amor Cubano” might just be the show that changed my life. I know that sounds dramatic but once it’s in your body…the stage is yours, the world is yours! I love that show with my whole heart!! Definitely comment below if you have seen it!

2. The crew parties were so much fun! The 2nd to last one we had was a uniform swap party and I got to dress up as the Staff Chief Engineer!! Peep the stripes!!! They really do everything they can to make the parties really creative and fun for us. And I’m so grateful they do!

3. The lazy pool days with my friends. We traveled all over the Caribbean but nothing beats drinks by the pool on a privet resort. Just good vibes all around!

4. The places we traveled! My favorite place to relax and drink is definitely Aruba but San Juan Puerto Rico is THE place to be! I’m so lucky to travel the world!!

5. The shows! Everything we got to perform was really fulfilling. And I think it’s because of the cast I was with. But being able to sing many different genres of music is a skill that I definitely think I have now because of this contract.

6. Last but definitely not least, my amazing cast. Actually no, the whole ship!! Everyone was so incredible and leaving them was really hard. Which is something I never had the problem of doing before. We built a strong connection to each other and we became family. Every single person on that ship inspired me and I love them to the moon and back.

... Read moreYou know, looking back, one of the most unexpected gifts of my Carnival Vista contract was truly deepening my passion for dance. It’s one thing to love performing, but to live and breathe it for six months, especially with a show as demanding and exhilarating as 'Amor Cubano,' really changes you. I often get asked how you keep that passion alive, and honestly, it’s a mix of dedication, the right environment, and incredible people. This journey wasn't just about fulfilling a job; it was about a profound personal transformation that ignited a new level of commitment to my craft. For anyone thinking about pursuing a new passion, especially in the arts, my advice is to immerse yourself completely. On the ship, every single performance felt like a fresh challenge, pushing me to refine my technique and express emotions I didn't even know I had within me. The energy from the live audience, seeing their faces light up with joy and excitement – it's truly the most incredible fuel for a performer. And it’s not just about the stage itself. Even off-stage, our 'cast' became such an indispensable support system. We’d constantly bounce ideas off each other, practice together in spare moments, and even unwind together, whether it was at a fun crew uniform swap party where everyone got creative, or just chilling by the pool on a calm sea day, soaking up some sun and good vibes. Beyond the physical demands and the thrill of a live performance, cultivating a passion like dance has so many far-reaching mental benefits. The discipline required, the intense focus on choreography, and the sheer elation of mastering a new step or nailing a complex routine perfectly – it all contributes immeasurably to a profound sense of accomplishment and overall well-being. It’s a constant journey of self-improvement. Moreover, traveling to breathtaking places like Aruba and San Juan Puerto Rico, even on busy contract days, offered fresh perspectives and inspirations that often fed directly back into my creative energy for the shows. These experiences taught me invaluable lessons about different cultures and broadened my horizons. It truly hammered home the idea that a new passion isn't just about the skill itself, but the entire transformative journey it takes you on, the deep connections you forge with fellow artists, and how it fundamentally reshapes your view of the world around you. If you're feeling that undeniable spark for something new, something that truly calls to your soul, I wholeheartedly encourage you to go for it – you genuinely never know the incredible places it might lead you, both personally and professionally!
