I usually share my monthly reset over on Instagram (@callherqueen__), but this month I felt inspired to share it here too.
If you’re trying to become more intentional, build healthier habits, reset your mindset, or simply start fresh, maybe this is your reminder that you don’t have to wait for a Monday or a new year to begin again.
My word for July is expansion.
Not just doing more—but becoming more.
Expanding my faith.
Expanding my confidence.
Expanding my discipline.
Expanding my peace.
Expanding into the woman I know God is calling me to become.
I’m learning that growth doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like showing up for yourself consistently, honoring your commitments, and taking one small step at a time.
If you’re in a season of becoming, I hope this encourages you too.
Follow along as I document my journey through intentional living, life over 40, wellness, wedding planning, and becoming the richest version of myself—from the inside out.
What’s one thing you’re resetting or focusing on this month?

In my experience, choosing a word or theme—like "expansion"—has helped me maintain focus and direction, especially when life feels overwhelming. Expansion isn't about rushing to do more; it's about quietly making room within yourself for growth, whether spiritual, emotional, or physical.
One practical way to embrace expansion is by setting non-negotiables each month. For example, dedicating consistent time for self-reflection, movement, and moments of joy can create a strong foundation for positive change. I’ve found that protecting my peace, even amidst a busy schedule, allows me to show up as my best self in all areas of my life.
I've also learned that this journey involves letting go of limiting beliefs—like perfectionism or fear of being seen—that hold me back from my fullest potential. Journaling prompts have been powerful tools for questioning what I need to release to make room for what’s next. Questions such as, "Where is God inviting me to expand?" or "If I fully believed I was ready, what would I do differently?" have led to surprising insights.
Incorporating simple pleasures, like fresh flowers, slow mornings, or meaningful conversations, has helped me romanticize daily life and appreciate ordinary moments without waiting for milestones to celebrate. It’s empowering to document and reflect on small wins, reinforcing a positive mindset.
If you're embarking on your own reset, remember: growth often looks quiet—it’s about consistent, intentional steps forward. Whether it’s expanding your faith, creative outlets, confidence, or peace, the key is showing up for yourself with kindness and patience. Let this season be about becoming more of who you’re truly meant to be.
