Errands run *without kids 🌈⭐️

Running errands without the kids can feel like a small but significant victory, especially in the postpartum months. At 4 months postpartum, I found that having a couple of hours alone to complete errands was incredibly rejuvenating. It gave me a chance to focus completely on my tasks without interruptions, which made the whole process quicker and less stressful. One of the highlights was visiting Goodwill, a stop that combines necessity with a bit of enjoyable browsing. Covering nearly 100 miles for errands might sound exhausting, but doing it solo felt freeing, as I could plan the route and pace according to my mood and energy levels. Having time on your own also provides a moment for reflection and emotional recharging, which is often overlooked in the busy mom life. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed at times — even jokingly "crying in almost 30" — but these solo trips help in regaining balance. If you’re a mom or a parent considering taking time to run errands without your children, I highly recommend it as a form of self-care. It’s an opportunity to breathe, be present in the moment, and come back refreshed to your parenting role. These moments also highlight the importance of carving out personal time amidst the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
