Starting a postpartum workout routine can feel overwhelming, especially when returning to the gym after giving birth. From my own experience, one of the biggest challenges is overcoming the mental barrier of feeling exposed or judged while trying new exercises like broad jumps. Plyometric movements demand both strength and coordination, which can feel intimidating at first, particularly when your body is still healing. It’s essential to give yourself permission to focus on form over perfection. I remember feeling frustrated when my jumps weren’t as powerful or clean as I wanted, but pushing through the awkwardness led to breakthroughs both physically and mentally. Using the turf area at the gym made a huge difference—it offered a forgiving surface for practicing jumps without fear of injury. Another key part of postpartum fitness is recognizing that it’s okay to scale exercises to your current ability, gradually increasing intensity. The emotional ups and downs are part of the journey too; you might have moments when you feel strong and others when motivation wanes. I found that tuning out the distractions and negative internal dialogue helped me stay consistent. Incorporating stretching, foam rolling, and other recovery techniques into your routine supports progress and reduces soreness. Remember, every small step counts. Sharing experiences and tips with other moms can provide encouragement and accountability during this transformative time. Ultimately, postpartum fitness is about reclaiming your strength and confidence at your own pace.

Lose the fupa + overhang without crunches
Why it’s great (especially for postpartum/DR-safe core work): • Builds deep core + pelvic floor strength without crunching. • Tones lower abs and helps with overhang/FUPA. • Strengthens glutes + quads for stability. • Improves spinal alignment + posture. 👉
