Beginner Grocery List for Hormones 🌿

Sometimes when I’m feeling more tired, bloated, craving sugar nonstop, or just off… I try to go back to the basics first.

These are some Walmart groceries I like for hormone support: salmon for protein + healthy fats, blueberries for antioxidants, carrots and produce for fiber, kombucha for gut health, and dark chocolate when I want something sweet without going overboard.

Small habits usually work better than expensive trends anyway 🤍

For example, baby carrots are an easy crunchy snack alternative to chips and their fiber content helps your body eliminate excess estrogen, which can reduce bloating and promote clearer skin. Blueberries are my go-to for natural antioxidants that calm inflammation and stabilize insulin, helping to manage energy dips and sugar cravings. I find Atlantic salmon invaluable because of its omega-3 fatty acids and protein, which not only aid hormone production but also reduce inflammation. Preparing salmon bowls or pairing salmon with roasted vegetables can be both satisfying and nourishing. Kombucha is another staple—its probiotics improve gut health, which plays a crucial role in hormone metabolism by helping remove used hormones instead of recirculating them. When I’m craving something sweet, dark chocolate with at least 70% cacao content is my preferred treat. It’s rich in magnesium, which supports mood stability and helps ease PMS symptoms. Additionally, simple smoothie blends with strawberries and bananas help stabilize blood sugar and reduce cortisol spikes, making them a great lazy-day solution. Adopting these small, sustainable habits rather than chasing expensive trends has truly made a difference in how I feel day-to-day. Keeping grocery shopping simple and hormone-focused has helped me manage fatigue, bloating, and sugar cravings effectively, proving that wellness can start with what’s in your shopping cart.

Try to get organic berries instead of Driscoll’s!! They’re known for having the highest amount of pesticides and carcinogens sprayed onto their products 🩷
