Why do we want more?
As teenagers, we might think, "It's good to have any car."
But one day, earning more money, the normal car you wanted may no longer be the target.
We started looking at better cars, more expensive cars, and we continued to create new goals for ourselves.
This is one of the interesting stories of "dopamine."
Dopamine involves motivation, expectation, and driving us out to seek what we want.
Many times, the feeling of good happens not only when we get it, but when we think, "How good is it to get it?"
The problem is that once we get what we want, the excitement doesn't stay with us forever.
Before long, what used to be a "dream."
It became "common."
And then we started looking for the next target.
More expensive car
More salary
Better stuff.
Or a better-looking life.
So we may spend our lives running after the word
"A little more and I'll be happy."
And the finish line kept moving away.
But "satisfaction" works differently.
Because when we feel that what we have now is good enough,
We don't have to stop improving ourselves. We don't have to stop having dreams.
Just our happiness. Don't always wait for the next goal.
Perhaps the goal of life is not to have "more and more."
But it could be to get to the point where we still want to grow.
Look at what's in front of you and think,
"This is good too."
