like fr why are their only locations in the mall 😭😭 #auntieannes #pretzels #dessert
If you're a fan of Auntie Anne's pretzels like me, you've probably noticed that most of their stores are located inside shopping malls. It can be pretty frustrating when you're craving those tasty pretzels but don't have easy access because you're not near a mall. From my experience, this mall-centric location strategy makes sense from a business perspective; malls attract heavy foot traffic, especially from families and shoppers looking for quick snacks during their visits. However, from a consumer standpoint, it limits convenience. Not everyone lives near or enjoys going to malls, especially with changing retail habits today. Some Auntie Anne's locations have started appearing outside malls, like in airports or shopping centers, offering some hope for easier access. When I really want a pretzel but can't get to a mall, I look online for delivery or consider other local bakeries with similar soft pretzel offerings. Another interesting aspect is that mall locations often serve as dessert and snack hubs, making Auntie Anne's a popular choice when paired with shopping trips. This might be why the company hasn't aggressively expanded to standalone stores more widely. If more fans voice their desire for easily accessible locations beyond malls, I hope the brand will respond by opening more freestanding shops or partnering with grocery stores. So, while it can be annoying now, it’s worth keeping an eye out for new Auntie Anne’s spots in non-mall locations. Meanwhile, visiting the mall for a quick pretzel treat could be a fun excuse for a small outing, combining shopping, snacking, and chill time all in one place.
