You are not overthinking…You are used to chaos 👁️

4/26 Edited to

... Read moreMany of us interpret constant overthinking as a personal flaw, but often it's simply a sign that your nervous system has adapted to a chaotic state. When your body is used to being in a high-alert, stressed condition, moments of peace can initially feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable. This is because your system has been conditioned to expect and react to stress, making calmness seem strange or boring. From personal experience, I found that acknowledging this pattern was the first step toward healing. Instead of trying to force peace immediately, I gradually trained my nervous system to accept calm through consistent, gentle practices. Techniques such as deep breathing, mindfulness meditation, and sensory grounding exercises helped me "reset" my internal system within minutes. Incorporating routines to calm the nervous system has been transformative. For example, a few minutes of focused breathwork each day significantly reduced my intrusive thoughts and overthinking patterns. Additionally, using tools like calming packs (which may include aromatherapy, soothing sounds, or herbal supplements) reinforced my progress by signaling my body that calmness is safe and natural. If you find peace feels strange, remember it’s not a failure—it's a sign that your nervous system is recalibrating. Patience and consistent practice are key to creating new neural pathways that support relaxation instead of chaos. Over time, what once felt uncomfortable will become your new normal, and you'll notice a decrease in overthinking and an increase in emotional resilience. Exploring trusted resources, like the Code of Ascension’s blog and calm packs, can provide structured guidance and supportive tools for this journey. Ultimately, learning to stop overthinking and start doing involves both mental and physical retraining, helping you move from a state of constant chaos to genuine peace.
