Subconscious mind uses past trauma to trigger you

When we have a lot of unresolved trauma in our life, our subconscious mind is constantly cycling through those events and experiences keeping us on a high alert. When it recognizes something similar to a traumatic past event, it will send you into fight or flight, calling for an action. Because the subconscious mind is always present it doesn’t realize the event happened in the past and it’s asking you to stop it, now. When you reset those traumatic events and experiences, you can possibly eliminate your panic attacks for good. It’s simple science.

... Read moreWhen you live, manage, and cope with daily life, the subconscious mind repeatedly processes traumatic memories, causing the 'lion'—a metaphor for anxiety or danger signals—to keep appearing at your door. This happens because traumatic events are stored in the subconscious and can surface unexpectedly when something in your environment resembles those past experiences. This can trigger intense fight or flight responses without conscious awareness. Resetting these traumatic memories involves practices such as therapy, mindfulness, and other trauma-informed approaches. By addressing the root causes stored deep in the mind, you can reduce or even eliminate panic attacks and chronic anxiety symptoms. Techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic experiencing work to reprocess traumatic memories, helping the brain recognize that past events are no longer threats. Moreover, self-care routines including meditation, grounding exercises, and supportive community groups labeled #anxietysupport and #panicattackawareness can provide ongoing relief. Understanding that the subconscious mind does not distinguish past trauma as historical but rather as immediate threats offers insight into why panic disorder or addiction sometimes develops alongside these reactions. Healing occurs when the subconscious mind 'resets' these memories, breaking the cycle of hypervigilance. Remember, it takes time and patience to work through subconscious trauma. But with consistent effort and appropriate support, it is possible to calm the mind's constant alertness and regain control over your emotional well-being.
