When I was putting this drawer box together, I made sure to orient my tenons so they’d take the brunt of the strain every time the drawer gets pulled out. It would probably hold up either way, but I’d rather build it right the first time and make sure this drawer lasts for a long, long time! #m

Applying some 2C oil to the inside edges of this oak before gluing up the frame for the Milwaukee blackout map! This way, those hard-to-reach edges are already finished, and everything will match perfectly when I come back to finish the rest of the frame. I can't wait to see this oak grain pop!

Of course I couldn’t find the wrench I needed to tighten the bit in my router table… but we made it work! 😂 I got a keyhole slot routed into the back of the frame, so this Milwaukee map will sit nice and clean on the wall with no visible hardware. We’re getting really close to seeing this one
