apps that are helping me GLOW UP in 2025 ⋆˙⟡

ive been depressed for what felt like the majority of my early 20’s. I struggled with alcohol, food addictions, and honestly doing the basics when it came to my self care. I really put my body through the wringer and somehow I’m still here trying to be better. I promise..it gets better ♡

2024 was me finally getting out of my depressive episode and rediscovering the vigor to live life and 2025 will be the year that i finally glow up and live this wonderful life to its fullest! I owe that to myself!

I’ve had to learn to meet myself where I am in order to get better. I’ve learned some “hacks” to get myself to get used to taking care of myself again and to enjoy it again! These apps have honestly changed my life for the better and I hope they can help meet you where you are ♡

Lastly, if you’re feeling down and hopeless, like no one would care if you weren’t around.. I care. You are a beautiful person, worthy of love and respect, and I hope soon you can see yourself the way I see you ♡

app details

finch app: ive learned that if it doesn’t give me a boost of serotonin, I struggle to do it. That’s just where I’m at and boy does this app give me serotonin boosts! You get a little pet that grows with you as you do tasks! It’s a fun way to get “rewards” for taking care of yourself!

goodnotes app: ive been using this app for a while to help me stay organized with content creation, but ive recently paired it with a self help book called “chaotic happiness by TJ Hoegh” and honestly it turned my mental health around for the better! I use it to journal and complete the books prompts paired with chat gpt

lose it: this app has made me come to terms with how bad my food addictions were, and how much I used food an an emotional comfort! It’s made me more aware of how many calories my body actually needs to sustain itself and has helped me start my weight loss journey!

fetch: this app is more of a fun one, you log your receipts and it gives you points for them! It’s honestly fun bc I love to see my points go up and ik that once I reach a certain point count a gift card of my choosing is waiting for me!

Pinterest: I feel like everyone is aware of Pinterest but for me personally it has been such a motivator in getting my life back together! if used properly it can be so inspiring and give you so many good ideas for self care, organization, even content ideas!

TikTok: I used to think TikTok was so toxic and negative and would always leave the app feeling so bad and I had no ideas why. Well it’s because i subconsciously felt so bad about myself and life that’s the kind of content I was attracting! Once I started catering my algorithm to more positive things that were gonna make my life better, TikTok became such an amazing tool!! My algorithm now is full of hair tips (how I found out I have low porosity hair) beauty tips (working on my skin now) meal ideas (I have a new motivation to fuel my body with healthy foods) gym tips (guess who’s gonna finally start building her dream body again) and hopecore lol because it makes me feel happy! Please I promise you TikTok doesn’t suck! You’re just not using it right!

I’m still on my journey (more like just beginning it) so don’t feel bad if that’s not where you’re at yet! I hope this helps you in any way like it’s helping me ♡

... Read moreIt’s amazing how much a few simple apps can transform your daily routine and truly kickstart a glow up journey! When I first started, I felt overwhelmed, but finding the right digital tools made all the difference. For anyone looking to embrace a more intentional and joyful life, let me share a bit more about how I maximized these apps, especially focusing on those little details that make them so effective. Let’s talk more about the Finch app, because it’s truly a game-changer for building consistent self-care habits. Many of you search for things like 'finch daily goals screen' or 'finch self care app bird avatar,' and for good reason! The daily goals feature isn't just a checklist; it’s designed to make small, achievable steps feel rewarding. I started with tiny goals like 'drink a glass of water' or 'stretch for 5 minutes.' Seeing my little bird avatar grow and thrive as I completed these tasks gave me such a boost. It turns self-care into a fun game, and that psychological trick really worked for me. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to track progress and celebrate those small wins, which are crucial when you're trying to build momentum. The 'pink finch app icon' itself is a little beacon of calm on my phone! Then there's the whole 'glow up aesthetic' aspect. We all want to feel good and look good, right? Pinterest and TikTok became my secret weapons here. For 'aesthetic glow up pictures' and general visual inspiration, Pinterest is unmatched. I created boards for everything: 'skincare routines' (as seen in my OCR images!), 'haircare tips,' healthy meal ideas, and even mood boards for my ideal living space. It's not just about looking at pretty pictures; it’s about visualizing the life you want and finding actionable steps to get there. TikTok, once I curated my feed, became an incredible source for real-time beauty hacks, quick workout routines (hello, new dream body!), and mental wellness affirmations. It's all about tailoring your algorithm to serve content that genuinely uplifts and educates you. Goodnotes, for me, became more than just an organization tool. It's where I housed my reflections and gratitude journaling. While it's not a 'glow daily affirmations app' in itself, I used it to write down daily affirmations and prompts from self-help books, making it my personalized mental health workbook. This digital journal allowed me to track my emotional progress and identify patterns, which is vital for sustained self-improvement. And Lose It! was a stark but necessary reality check. It helped me understand my nutrition much better, moving from emotional eating to mindful fueling, which is a huge part of a physical glow up. For those wondering about 'best free glow up apps 2025 2026,' my advice is to look for apps that offer customization, positive reinforcement, and address a specific area of your wellness journey. Don't try to use too many at once; pick a few that resonate and integrate them into your routine slowly. The key is consistency and finding tools that make self-care feel less like a chore and more like a joyful habit. Remember, your glow up is a journey, not a destination, and these apps are fantastic companions along the way.
