just a torn tendon

1/15 Edited to

... Read moreHaving experienced a torn tendon myself, I understand how daunting the recovery process can be. Initially, the frustration comes from restricted movement and persistent pain, but patience is key. One important tip is to follow a structured rehabilitation plan recommended by your physical therapist, which often includes gentle range-of-motion exercises progressing to strength training. It's crucial to listen to your body; pushing too hard too soon can worsen the injury. Applying ice during the first few days helps reduce inflammation, and elevating the injured area can also alleviate swelling. Throughout recovery, maintaining a positive mindset is essential—celebrating small milestones like improved flexibility can boost morale. While the injury might temporarily limit your activities, adapting by focusing on lower-impact exercises ensures you stay active without compromising healing. Nutritionally, a diet rich in protein and vitamins supports tissue repair. Lastly, be cautious when resuming regular activities, especially intense physical exercises, to avoid re-injury. In my journey, patience and consistent care facilitated a full recovery. Accepting that healing takes time and seeking support from healthcare professionals makes the process manageable and successful.

It might be your proximal bicep tendon acting up. Proximal bicep tendinopathy is often caused by overuse especially in lifters or active people who push through pain. Rehab isn’t just rest. It’s about loading the tendon just enough to spark adaptation without flaring it up. That could mean
