Slow living is a real luxury. But it doesn't take a farmhouse and a free morning. Two minutes with your coffee before the house wakes up. Your kids laughing in the back seat. Your favorite song on a beautiful country road. Catch the slow moments inside the busy one. #slowliving #countrymorning

Nothing fancy today. Just me out in the garden doing fall cleanup and talking your ear off while I work. I've been wanting to share more of the everyday stuff around here, not just the pretty finished projects. The real in-between days. Because most of homesteading is honestly just this, showing

The question I get asked every single day: where is your wallpaper from. It is not wallpaper, it is a stamp. I am transforming our manufactured home into a little cottage farmhouse one stamp at a time. The three dollar Hobby Lobby carnation stamp, the other low cost stamps, and all my paint colors

May you always be the type of girl who picks the last flowers before the first frost, saves the seeds for spring, and still gets excited over a cool breeze through the window The dahlias are at their peak right now and I've been out there every morning cutting armloads of them. It's a funny thin

For a long time I bought what everybody said was in, and then it would sit in my closet because it never really felt like me. Now I reach for the same kinds of things over and over, and getting dressed got a whole lot easier. Soft, comfortable, a little bit country, and stuff I can actually live

Welcome, autumn. We've been waiting on you. The mornings are cool and the light is coming in lower through the kitchen windows, my candles are lit and there's a sweater on the back of my chair ready for cool morning walks. The garden is slowing down and so am I. Come on in and sit a while. Th

Let's make a free dried fruit fall garland Nothing in this cost me a thing. Oranges we had leftover in the fridge, apples and pears we grew right here on the homestead, some twine, and a low oven doing the slow work while I did other things around the house. The whole house smelled like fall by

The mornings finally have that little bite to them, so you know what that means. Pumpkin cinnamon rolls. Soft and gooey with a pour of cream right before they bake, and that cream cheese frosting going on while they're still warm, right? The house smelled like fall all afternoon and I'm not even a

Welcome to my new series, Thrift With Me. This is the Fall Wardrobe Edition, part one, where I thrift as many outfits as I can, all inspired by my Pinterest board. Before I even head to the thrift store, I always start by pinning what I feel inspired by, making sure to find staple pieces I can w
