How many different should a gaming monitor choose Hz? 60Hz, 120Hz, 240Hz?
Ever? Playing the game anyway, the picture seems to slip, but when you turn the camera quickly or find a scene with a lot of things going on, it feels discrete or retarded?
Many people may think that this depends on the screen card alone, but the "Refresh Rate" or the Hz value of the screen also plays an important part.
In other words, Hz is the number of times the screen can refresh the image in 1 second. The higher the Hz, the more likely the animation will be displayed continuously, and the response from the screen will be more sensitive.
60Hz is enough for general gaming, especially games that don't focus on serious competition, or storylines that we want to spend time with the atmosphere and graphics of games like Genshin Impact or The Last of Us Part I.
But if it were a faster-moving game, 120Hz would start to see more obvious differences between camera rotation, movement, and action scenes, such as Cyberpunk 2077 or Black Myth: Wukong.
As for people who play competitive games, the Hz value is even more important.
180Hz fits games that need to move the mouse and camera quickly, such as MOBA or FPS games.
Moving up to 240Hz, the image continuity will increase further, suiting games that require speed to aim and track goals, such as Apex Legends.
The 360Hz and 480Hz + segments will begin to enter a group of competitive line players and eSports that value low latency and high level of visual response.
But there is one thing that many often overlook...
Buying a 480Hz screen doesn't mean getting 480 frames of images per second.
If our computer makes only 100-150 FPS framerates, a screen with a very high Refresh Rate may not be used at full capacity.
Imagine that the screen is the road, and FPS is the number of cars on the road.
There are many lanes on the road, but if there are few cars, it does not mean that the road is full of lanes.
So time will choose a gaming screen. Don't just look at the highest Hz numbers.
Display at the same time the game type played, the FPS achieved by the machine, the screen card, the CPU and the budget.
Because a 60Hz, 120Hz, 240Hz or 480Hz screen doesn't have a single answer to which one is best for everyone.
Choose Hz to suit our game and specification. That's the best value.
What kind of game are you playing? 🎮
60Hz / 120Hz / 240Hz or so?
