Okay this story is still crazy to me and probably will be forever lol. My now fiancé had planned to propose to me a few days prior to this, but I messed it up 🤦🏻♀️
The how is complicated and embarrassing but point is he was absolutely heartbroken and devastated bc he had put so much time and money into this proposal that I prevented him from doing 😢
And then he was supposed to leave on a business trip for 5 days, and I was like no this is not the energy we’re separating with (we were both so sad) so I went with him. Keep in mind we are 6 hours away from home in the most random tiny beach town.
He gets back to the hotel from seeing his client, it’s sunset, and as we’re walking from the hotel to dinner I spotted this little setup. In my head I’m thinking “this is not possible how could he have physically managed to set this up??”
He takes me under the gazebo, proposes to me so beautifully, and then says “you know what the craziest part of this is? I didn’t do this”
I’m like no way you have to be lying 😂
SO apparently this guy had set it up for his brother to propose to HIS girlfriend and they were like 3 minutes away from getting there. What are the odds??
We hurried on our way so we wouldn’t mess up their moment, but it was SO cool and beautiful that we happened to stumble into that at the very moment he was going to propose anyway (he said he was planning to take me down by the dock when we saw the gazebo)
And I love that this is the story we get to tell now 🥰
