Stop explaining. Start showing. 🎥

Claude just added "Record a skill" to Cowork: hit record, do the task on your screen, talk through it as you go — and Claude turns your demo into a skill it can run again anytime.

It captures your clicks, typing, and voice, then saves the whole workflow to your skill library (think: /file-expenses, on command).

Live now in the Claude desktop app on Pro, Max, and Team plans.

What's the first task you'd teach it? 👇

Save this for when you open the app, and follow @latinaailab for weekly AI news, tools & tips for creators.

... Read moreUsing Claude's 'Record a Skill' feature has truly transformed the way I handle repetitive tasks in my daily routine. Instead of spending time writing detailed instructions or prompts, I simply open the app, hit the record button, and walk through the process while commenting aloud. Claude captures every click, keystroke, and voice explanation, turning the whole demonstration into a digital skill that I can run anytime with just a command. One of the best aspects is how it stores these skills in a personalized library, making it easy to access and automate complex workflows such as filing expenses or preparing reports. Before this, I often found myself bogged down by manual admin tasks that ate into my creative time. Now, I just say the command associated with the task – for example, /file-expenses – and Claude handles the rest seamlessly. The integration within the Claude desktop app works flawlessly, especially on the Pro and Max plans, allowing multi-user collaboration on the Team plan as well. This is perfect if you work with a team requiring consistent workflows across different members. From my experience, teaching Claude a new skill is incredibly intuitive. It reduces the need to explain processes repeatedly, both for myself and colleagues. Plus, it increases accuracy as the skill records exactly what I do step-by-step, minimizing human errors common in manual workflows. If you’re a content creator, manager, or anyone who routinely handles the same digital tasks, I highly recommend engaging with Claude’s skill-recording feature. It’s like having a personal assistant who learns by watching you work and automates your processes, freeing up time for higher-value activities. In addition to saving time, this tool offers a unique learning opportunity as you reflect on your workflow while recording, often spotting areas to improve efficiency further. It’s definitely a game-changer in AI-assisted productivity tools, and I’m excited to see what new skills the community creates and shares next.
