A judge has ruled that a 12-year-old boy will remain in custody in connection to a sexual assault case involving a 12-year-old girl in Miami.
According to NBC6 South Florida, three suspects — ages 12, 13, and 15 — were arrested in the case. Authorities say the incident occurred at a community garden last year. All three boys are reportedly being charged as adults.
Court documents show the judge determined the 12-year-old will remain behind bars as the case moves forward.
This remains an ongoing case, and officials continue to investigate.
