the basics WORK
the most basic blueprint to feel your best ✨
it’s simple when you lay it out like this, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.
every single day you have to make the choice to choose what supports your goals over what feels comfortable or convenient. those small choices add up more than any “perfect” workout or meal plan ever will !!
the basics are what work !!!!!
✨ 0.8–1g of protein per lb of goal body weight
✨ 64–128 oz of water daily
✨ 7–9 hours of sleep
✨ 8–10k steps every day
✨ prioritize whole foods most of the time
once those habits start feeling automatic, THEN build from there 🤏🏼
trying to change everything overnight almost always leads to burnout. but when you master one habit at a time, healthy choices become your new normal instead of something you have to force
fat loss doesn’t come from finding the “perfect” plan. it comes from consistently showing up, eating enough protein, moving your body, recovering well, and repeating those habits over and over 💫

In my experience, embracing the basics is the most powerful approach to achieving long-term fat loss and overall wellness. The OCR highlights essential aspects like calories impacting weight, macros shaping physique, micros affecting mood and energy, and electrolytes enhancing performance. It reminded me how interconnected these elements are. I used to believe that intense, complicated plans were necessary, but I learned that consistency with foundational habits is what delivers real results. For example, prioritizing 0.8 to 1 gram of protein per pound of your goal body weight not only supports muscle maintenance but also keeps you feeling fuller longer, helping control cravings. Similarly, drinking between 64 to 128 ounces of water daily ensures proper hydration, which regulates bodily functions and mood, as noted in the OCR. Sleep, often underestimated, is crucial. I found aiming for 7 to 9 hours nightly helps hormone balance, mood stability, and recovery. Adding roughly 8,000 to 10,000 steps daily kept me active without overwhelming my schedule. It’s important to prioritize mostly whole foods most of the time because they provide fiber for fullness and digestion, naturally support micronutrient intake, and stabilize blood sugar. When I first focused on one habit at a time—maybe improving sleep first—these healthy changes felt manageable rather than overwhelming. Another key insight is that fat loss and wellness do not come from chasing the perfect regimen but from showing up daily and repeating these core habits. Creatine was something I added later; it helped my strength and recovery, reinforcing that after nailing basics, you can thoughtfully build further. Ultimately, small choices that support your goals consistently beat any temporary burst of motivation. Consistency equals results, as the OCR perfectly sums up. So embrace the foundation, take it step by step, and your body and mind will thank you.
