6 month transformation
10 habits that helped me lose 20+ lbs 👇🏼
1. i stayed in a calorie deficit + kept my protein high for a significant period of time instead of changing my plan every week
2. i lifted 4x/week + focused on progressive overload to build muscle
3. i hit 8–10k steps every single day
4. i ate a lot of the same meals on repeat so i never had to decide what to eat in the moment
5. i cut out alcohol completely
6. i swapped HIIT for more intentional zone 2 cardio on the stairs
7. i started drinking a MINIMUM of 1 gallon of water a day
8. i averaged 8–9 hours of sleep every night !!!! sleep is SO underrated for fat loss
9. i stopped mindless snacking & started eating 5 smaller, structured meals throughout the day
10. i followed the plan my coach gave me to a T. no constantly changing things, no second-guessing the process, no leaving boxes unchecked. even when i felt like things weren’t happening, i knew i was doing everything i could to stay on track
THAT is what made the difference 🤏🏼 results come from consistency !!!!
was my transformation “perfect” maybe kinda ???? but during that time, i was also bodybuilding and had a very specific goal that required a level of precision that most people do NOT need.
you don’t need to be “perfect” to lose fat. you need to be CONSISTENT with a plan that actually works for YOUR life 👏🏼

Embarking on a 6-month transformation journey can feel daunting, but focusing on consistency rather than perfection is key. One of the most powerful habits I adopted was maintaining a calorie deficit while keeping protein intake high to preserve muscle mass and support fat loss. This approach stabilizes metabolism and prevents muscle loss during weight reduction. Incorporating strength training four times a week with progressive overload helped build lean muscle, which boosts resting metabolic rate and enhances body composition. Pairing resistance workouts with intentional Zone 2 cardio, such as stair climbing, provided effective fat-burning without the exhaustion sometimes caused by high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Hitting 8,000–10,000 steps daily encouraged overall activity and improved cardiovascular health. Drinking at least one gallon of water each day supported metabolism and reduced hunger cues, while eliminating alcohol removed empty calories and improved recovery. Structured eating, with five smaller and planned meals across the day, helped avoid mindless snacking and stabilized energy levels. Sleep, often underestimated, was prioritized at 8–9 hours nightly, facilitating recovery, hormone balance, and fat loss. Repeating the same meals reduced decision fatigue and helped stick to the nutrition plan without stress. Having a coach-designed plan tailored to my goals and lifestyle was crucial—it prevented second-guessing and ensured consistent progress even during plateaus. Remember, your transformation doesn’t have to be perfect. Consistency with a plan that fits your unique life will yield sustainable fat loss and health benefits. Whether you’re bodybuilding or just starting your fitness journey, these habits offer a realistic, balanced path to long-term success.
