Do you know what I’ve learned at 62??

6/10 Edited to

... Read moreReflecting on personal growth at the age of 62, I've come to realize how important it is to reclaim my voice and autonomy. For many years, I allowed other people to control what I could say and do, often out of fear of judgment or rejection. It took me a long time to understand that living authentically is a choice I truly deserve. One of the key lessons I've learned is to stop fearing others' opinions. Society, friends, or even family may impose their expectations on us, but ultimately, our own voice is paramount. At 62, embracing this truth brought a newfound sense of freedom and peace. I began to speak more openly, share my true feelings, and set boundaries where needed. This experience has taught me that it is never too late to take charge of your life. Whether you're 30, 50, or 62 like me, turning inward to find your authentic self can lead to greater happiness and fulfillment. I've also discovered that vulnerability is a strength—it encourages genuine connections and builds respect. From a practical standpoint, practicing self-affirmation daily helped me to build confidence. I recommend writing down empowering statements or reflecting on moments when you stood up for yourself. These small actions accumulate into greater self-belief. Most importantly, I want to encourage others to listen to their inner voice, even if it takes years to hear clearly. Your life belongs to you, and the power to shape it lies within. Embracing this mindset has been my greatest gift at 62, and I hope others can find that empowerment too.

What I’ve learned in my 40s
My 40s have been full of lessons I didn’t know I needed. Lessons in slowing down. In softening. In starting over without shame. In trusting God—even when the timeline didn’t make sense. I’ve had to unlearn a lot. Unlearn who I thought I had to be. Unlearn the idea that healing should be quick and
