Can You Change Your Eye Color Naturally?
I’m not a doctor, but these are two things I personally think may have lightened my eye color over the years.
I grew up with very dark brown, almost black eyes. But when I renewed my license in Japan, they asked me to remove my contacts even though I wasn’t wearing any. My eyes just looked lighter.
2 changes I made:
1. I became pescatarian.
2. I drank a lot of carrot juice, which even made my skin more yellow.
Not sure if these caused it, or if it’s just aging, but that’s my experience. If you’re an expert, feel free to comment.

Many people wonder if it's possible to change eye color naturally without surgery or colored contact lenses. While genetics primarily determine eye color, several lifestyle and environmental factors could subtly influence the appearance of your eyes over time. For instance, diet can play a fascinating role. Some nutrients, such as those found in carrots, are rich in beta-carotene and antioxidants. Drinking carrot juice may not directly change your iris pigmentation, but the increased yellow or warm undertones in your skin could enhance the perception of lighter eye color. Additionally, shifting to a pescatarian diet can improve overall skin and eye health by providing omega-3 fatty acids and reducing inflammation. Aside from diet, aging can cause changes in eye color, often making eyes appear lighter. This happens because the melanin in the iris can decrease with age, leading to subtle shifts in eye color. It's important to note that no scientifically proven method exists to safely change eye color permanently through natural means. Any significant change should be assessed by an eye care professional. However, embracing a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and hydration, can improve eye brightness and skin tone, creating a naturally vibrant look. For those interested in natural beauty and wellness journeys, adopting habits like facial yoga, proper sleep, and managing stress can also contribute to eye and facial appearance. If you have tried natural methods or noticed changes in your eye color, sharing your experience can help build a community exploring the intersection of health and beauty. Always consult healthcare providers before major lifestyle changes, especially related to diet or supplements.
