WILL YOU PLEASE FORGIVE YOUR DAMN SELF
FORGIVE YOUR DAMN SELF
Let’s be real: no healing journey is complete without this step.
We talk about cutting off toxic people, setting boundaries, and breaking cycles—but what about the quiet war we’re still fighting within ourselves?
Because truthfully?
You can’t fully move forward if you’re still punishing yourself for who you used to be.
⸻
Self-forgiveness is not weakness. It’s wisdom.
It means you’ve grown enough to:
• Acknowledge the hurt you may have caused
• Admit the choices you regret
• Recognize the patterns you wish you’d seen sooner
And still choose to meet yourself with compassion.
It doesn’t mean forgetting.
It means learning—without weaponizing your past against yourself.
⸻
So, start here:
• You made mistakes. That makes you human.
• You acted out of survival, confusion, fear, or conditioning—not malice.
• You’ve evolved. And you deserve to feel the lightness that comes when you finally let go of guilt.
⸻
Stop letting shame narrate your life.
You are more than your worst moment.
You are worthy of peace.
And you are allowed to begin again.
⸻
Say it out loud if you need to:
“I forgive my damn self.
For what I didn’t know.
For how I coped.
For who I became when I was hurting.
And for who I failed to be while learning.
I forgive myself—and I choose grace.”
Because grace is where true healing begins.

I choose in Jesus name to forgive myself. I was abandoned @ 13 by my mother who didn't understand that the reason I was the way that I was, was because her husband, my father was molesting me and told by her that it was my fault. I forgive myself for blaming myself. I forgive myself for believing that the beatings and almost killed by a man 4x was because I did something wrong. I forgive myself for not loving my children enough because I didn't know what love was and still don't. I forgive myself because of all the bad choices I have made throughout my life that have not only effected me but the people around me. without Jesus pulling from the soil & cleaning me off, I would not be able to say "I forgive myself as he forgives me" I forgive myself. My life sentence is served. I forgive myself.
