Before you stay too long…Ask this ONE question!

Hey fam 💛🫶🏾. Tonight the Lord had me reflecting on SEASONS 🌤️. Because if we’re honest… so many of our wounds didn’t come from what happened to us—our wounds came from what we REFUSED to release 😔.
There is a season for almost everything ⏳. A season to build 🧱, a season to rest 🛌🏾, a season to fight ⚔️, and yes… a season to walk away 🚶🏾♀️. Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us that life has GOD-ORDERED timing ⏰. Not emotional timing. Not comfort timing. GOD timing 🙌🏾.
But here’s the danger: when a season ends and we don’t ACCEPT it, we start living in delay 😩. We keep watering dead soil 🪴. We keep begging God to revive something He already called “DONE.” And it’s not that we’re bad people… it’s just that we’re attached 🤍.
And then on the other side—some people rush seasons because they don’t like how it feels 😮💨. But the “waiting season” or the “dry season” builds TRUST 🙏🏾. The “stretching season” builds FAITH 💪🏾. The “isolated season” builds DEPENDENCE on God 🕊️.
So tonight, let this be your prayer: “Lord, what SEASON am I in—and what are You trying to PRODUCE in me through it?” 🌱
Because when you recognize the season, you stop panicking 😌. You stop forcing 🛑. You stop clinging 🧤. And you start ALIGNING ✅. And alignment always brings PEACE 🕊️.

There was a time I held onto a relationship and a job far too long, afraid to let go because of emotional attachment. However, I started noticing I was watering dead soil—putting effort into something that wasn’t growing anymore. Reflecting on scriptures like Ecclesiastes 3:1 and James 1:2-4 helped me realize that God’s timing is distinct from our comfort or feelings. When you ask yourself, “What season am I in?”, it’s not just a rhetorical question — it becomes a turning point. For instance, the waiting or dry season may feel uncomfortable, but it is during these moments that trust in the Lord is built. Stretching seasons, although difficult, cultivate faith and resilience. And isolated seasons deepen one’s dependence on God’s guidance. Recognizing these signs doesn’t mean rushing through discomfort but aligning with God’s timing. When you align, peace replaces panic and fear. Another insight is learning to accept when a season is over—acknowledging that holding on out of fear or attachment only delays the beautiful new phases God has for us. It’s easy to cling onto familiar situations, but asking the right question before you stay too long can save you from unnecessary pain and open your heart to what God is producing in you. Embracing this mindset has encouraged me to pray for wisdom and patience and to seek God’s voice actively during transitions. If you’re struggling to let go, consider journaling about your feelings, praying for clarity, and meditating on these verses daily. The more I trusted God’s process rather than my own emotions, the more I experienced genuine peace and spiritual maturity. The key takeaway is to discern the timing God has created uniquely for you, and not confuse it with your own desires or societal pressures. Remember, every season is purposeful, and the one question before staying too long is: "Am I aligned with God's season or clinging to what has already passed?"
