Y’all loved my ChatGPT finance help so I thought I’d share this too! Here’s how I use ChatGPT to plan my meals and stick to my diet:
🥘 step 1: determine the diet you want to follow and your dietary needs associated with it. For example, I followed a Keto diet with a calorie deficit so mine were 65 grams of protein, under 20 grams of carbs, and under 1500 calories. Also, get your budget restrictions and any foods you don’t like/want to avoid.
🍲 Step 2: tell ChatGPT the following prompt: craft a meal plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner for x days meeting these parameters: (enter dietary and budget preferences from step 1). Make a shopping list associated for all items needed to prepare this meal plan from (store you prefer). Optimize the list for maximum savings at this store.
And save it! I use ChatGPT for a lot of things so let me know if you want to see more. I’d also love to know what you use it for! #chatgpt#mealplanhacks

... Read moreAfter diving into the world of ChatGPT for meal prep, I've discovered so many ways to fine-tune the process and make it even more effective than just the initial plan! While giving ChatGPT your dietary needs, calorie goals, and budget is a fantastic start, here are some extra tips I've picked up to really elevate your diet planning and meal preparation game.
First, don't be afraid to get super specific with your prompts. Instead of just saying 'keto diet,' try adding details like 'low-carb keto, focusing on healthy fats and lean proteins, avoiding dairy and nuts.' If you have specific ingredients you want to use up, tell ChatGPT! For example, 'I have a lot of spinach, ground meat, and eggs – can you incorporate these into breakfast and dinner recipes?' You might be surprised at how it can whip up delicious ideas, like a hearty bowl of scrambled eggs with ground meat and spinach for breakfast, or a quick stir-fry for dinner. This drastically reduces food waste and helps with budget.
Another game-changer for me has been asking ChatGPT to suggest meals that lend themselves well to batch cooking. For instance, I'll ask, 'Suggest 3 dinner recipes that can be easily prepped on Sunday for the week, focusing on minimal cooking time during weekdays.' It often provides ideas for roasted vegetables, stews, or marinated proteins that can be cooked in larger quantities and portioned out. This saves so much time during busy workweeks!
I've also found it incredibly helpful to ask for variety. Sometimes, I get stuck in a rut eating the same few things. I'll prompt, 'Give me 7 unique lunch ideas for a calorie-deficit diet, ensuring diverse flavors and textures, and include a fresh fruit snack suggestion for each day.' This keeps things exciting and ensures I'm getting a wider range of nutrients. Think about those vibrant bowls filled with blueberries, raspberries, pomegranate seeds, sliced strawberries, kiwi, and bananas – ChatGPT can inspire combinations you might not think of!
Don't forget to leverage ChatGPT for ingredient substitutions. If a recipe calls for something expensive or hard to find, ask, 'What's a good, cheaper alternative for X ingredient in this recipe?' It's brilliant at suggesting swaps that maintain flavor and nutritional profile.
Finally, use ChatGPT to refine your shopping list even further. After it gives you the initial list, you can ask, 'Can you categorize this shopping list by grocery store aisle (produce, dairy, pantry, etc.) to make my trip faster?' or 'Optimize this list for a specific store like [Your Preferred Store] by suggesting generic brands or indicating items often on sale.' This takes the efficiency to a whole new level, truly maximizing your savings and making the entire meal prep process smoother. It's not just about planning; it's about executing that plan seamlessly from kitchen to table.
