How we sit behind our clients

2024/12/10 Edited to

... Read moreHey beauty lovers! As someone who's spent countless hours both giving and receiving facial treatments, I know firsthand that what truly elevates a good facial to an amazing one is the level of comfort. It's not just about the products; it's about the entire experience. When clients ask me, 'How can I make my facial treatment comfortable?' I always tell them it starts with communication and a few simple steps. This is truly "how we stand behind our clients" – by ensuring they're relaxed and pampered! Before Your Facial: Setting the Stage for Serenity Communicate Your Needs: Don't be shy! Before your treatment even begins, tell your esthetician about any sensitivities, allergies, or areas of concern. Do you hate strong fragrances? Have sensitive skin? Prefer lighter pressure? Speaking up is key to a tailored, comfortable experience. Ask Questions: If it's your first time or you're trying a new treatment, ask about the steps involved. Knowing what to expect can ease any anxiety. Arrive Relaxed (if possible): Try not to rush. Give yourself a few extra minutes to arrive, maybe even enjoy a cup of herbal tea beforehand. A calm mind helps create a calm body. During Your Facial: Embracing the Bliss Find Your Perfect Position: Most estheticians will adjust the bed and provide pillows, but if you need extra support for your neck, back, or knees, just ask! A comfortable physical position is foundational. I always make sure my clients have a soft blanket and a perfectly adjusted headrest. That's part of how we ensure comfort. Communicate ANY Discomfort: This is perhaps the most crucial tip. If a product stings, the temperature is too cold/hot, the pressure is too strong during massage, or you simply need a moment, let your esthetician know immediately. We want you to be comfortable, and we can't fix what we don't know! Breathe Deeply: Focus on slow, deep breaths. This helps relax your nervous system and allows you to fully receive the benefits of the treatment. It's amazing how much tension we hold in our faces and shoulders! Close Your Eyes and Unplug: Resist the urge to peek or check your phone. Allow yourself to completely disconnect from the outside world. This is your time. Music & Lighting: If the music isn't to your liking or the lighting is too bright, a good esthetician will be happy to adjust it. Personalized ambiance contributes greatly to comfort. From My Esthetician Perspective: What I Do to Ensure Your Comfort I believe a truly skilled esthetician anticipates your needs. This includes: Gentle Touch: Every touch should be deliberate and comforting, from cleansing to applying masks. No abrupt movements! Warm Towels: Nothing says comfort like perfectly warm, steamy towels. Checking In: I often ask quiet, gentle questions like, "How's the pressure?" or "Is this temperature okay?" without breaking the relaxation spell. Protecting Your Eyes: Always ensuring eye pads or soft cloths are protecting your eyes during steam or product application. Quiet Environment: Minimizing unnecessary chatter, especially during mask times, to allow for pure relaxation. Smooth Transitions: Moving seamlessly from one step to the next helps maintain the flow and keeps you in a blissful state. By keeping these tips in mind, you're not just getting a facial; you're crafting a truly comfortable, luxurious, and stress-melting experience every single time. Here's to your next perfectly comfortable glow-up!
