「花園神社」って検索するとまず気になるのが拝殿だと思うので、私が現地で見た印象を中心に補足します。新宿三丁目駅の出口から本当にすぐで、到着までの“街感”と、境内に入った瞬間の静けさのギャップがいちばんの魅力でした。 拝殿は赤と黒を基調にしたデザインで、階段の存在感が強くて写真でも現地でもかなり映えます。近くで見ると現代的なしっかりした造りで、都心の神社らしい安心感もありました。参拝は、混雑していても流れが作られているので落ち着いて手を合わせやすい印象。私は日中に行きましたが、光が当たる時間帯だと朱色がよりきれいに見えておすすめです。 境内で印象に残ったのは、朱色の鳥居が連なる参道。鳥居がトンネルみたいに続いていて、少し異世界に入っていく感覚になります。鳥居と石灯籠の並びを上から見上げる構図が撮りやすく、歩きながら「ここで撮ると雰囲気出るな…」という場所が何回もありました。 また、花園神社の近く（境内の一角）にある芸能浅間神社も外せません。芸能に縁があると聞いていたので、拝殿とあわせて参拝すると“花園神社らしさ”をより感じられました。灯籠や鳥居まわりの空気が少し引き締まっていて、短い時間でも立ち寄る価値ありです。 さらに、二宮金次郎像や狛犬も見どころ。狛犬は朱色の鳥居を背景にすると写真が締まりますし、二宮金次郎像は「都心の神社にこういう文化資産が残ってるんだ」と足を止めたくなる存在でした。 行く前に知っておくと便利なのは、花園神社は24時間参拝できること。仕事帰りや用事のついでに寄れるのが本当に助かります。11月の酉の市の時期は特に賑わうので、静かに拝殿を見たい人は通常日を、活気ある雰囲気を楽しみたい人は酉の市シーズンを狙うのが良いと思います。
