Xmas Meal: Cosy or Extravagant?🎁🍾
This year's Christmas was simple and homely🏠.My partner and I decided to step away from the usual holiday chaos. Opting for a celebration that felt comfortable and personal. We weren’t interested in paying for overpriced restaurant meals, fighting through crowded spaces, or the pressure to dress up for the occasion.
We both felt that the spirit of the season was best experienced in a space where we could be ourselves, without the distractions of external expectations👩🏻❤️👨🏻
So we decided to prepare a homemade meal together. The process of cooking was more than just about food; it was an opportunity to bond, laugh, and work as a team. Dinner Menu 🍽:
1. Garlic and Herb Lamb Chops🤩🌟
The star of the meal, it exceeded our expectations. I was initially concerned that the lamb would be tough or too gamey, but it was the complete opposite - juicy, tender, and full of flavour. The meat was perfectly infused with garlic, butter, and the earthy notes of rosemary and thyme. The doneness was spot on, making every bite absolutely delightful.

Ingredients:
1.5lbs lamb rack
8 cloves garlic, minced
2 sprigs Rosemary
2 sprigs Thyme
2 tbsp avocado oil
2-3 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp Salt
2 tbsp Black pepper
2. Butter Prawns
The prawns were fresh and firm, and the rich, fragrant butter sauce elevated them to another level. Each bite was a heavenly experience, perfectly balanced in both flavour and texture.
3. Stir-Fried Broccolini
A simple yet essential dish to balance out the meal. The broccolini was crisp and fresh, offering a refreshing contrast to the richer dishes. It was the perfect palate cleanser and a delightful accompaniment to the rest of the meal.
