錦市場周辺って「甘いもの食べたいけど、落ち着ける席がない…」となりがち。そんな時にちょうどよかったのが、錦市場から歩ける和モダンな町家カフェの「omo cafe」でした。畳の空間に低めのテーブル＆座椅子があって、観光の合間でも靴を脱いで一息つける感じ。写真映えもするけど、静かに休憩したい人にも向いてます。 私の推しは“抹茶ソースをかけて完成”する和パフェ。フルーツ、アイス、粒あん、白玉、抹茶ムースと具だくさんで、最後まで飽きずに食べられました。甘さはしっかりあるのに、抹茶のほろ苦さが入るので重たすぎないのが嬉しいところ。錦市場でしょっぱい系を食べ歩きした後のデザートに相性抜群でした。 「omo cafe 京都 メニュー」で探している人向けに、ざっくり頼み方のコツも。複数人で行くなら、和パフェ＋あんみつ＋豆乳湯葉ちーずけーきみたいに“食感の違う和スイーツ”をシェアすると満足度が上がります。あんみつは和の定番で安心感があるし、豆乳湯葉ちーずけーきはコクがありつつ和っぽさもあって、抹茶系が苦手な人にもすすめやすい印象でした。カヌレとバニラアイスは、和スイーツだけだと物足りない人の「洋の気分」も埋めてくれるので、組み合わせ要員として便利。 混雑が気になる場合は、私が行った日曜15時ごろはすんなり入れました。席数が多めなのと、カフェ利用だけじゃなく食事利用の人もいるので、ピークが分散しやすいのかも。逆に「錦市場付近 ランチ」目的なら、ランチ→そのままスイーツの流れができるお店なので、移動を減らしたい日にも助かります。 錦市場・四条烏丸エリアで、抹茶スイーツや和スイーツを落ち着いて食べたいなら、まず候補に入れていいカフェだと思います。
