He was hungry!

While doing garden work, I discovered a praying mantis. It was slow moving which led me to believe it was hungry. I provided some honey which it ate immediately.

Ho hum... 😩 We got an extreme heat spell here in LVNV, early March. I believe this contributed to slow harvest. Now, I'm keeping the soil moist and shaded from the brutal sun, hoping we get a harvest in the fall. 🤞🏾

Things are slow here in LV valley.

Global warming is REAL! We had extreme weather here since early March. Hot, cold, windy and everything in between. Bees are a good sign. Now I know what it is like for farmers who rely on the weather to do its thing!
