My favorite apps to create content pt.2

2nd Part is on apps I use to create content. I’ve tried many methods to stay organized and throughout the years I found that this is what works for me.

⊹˙⋆ ORGANIZATION ⋆˙⊹

📝 Notes (iOS)

I’m a big Notes fan! I have different folders to stay organized and I create a new note when I have a new thought lol. I mainly use Notes to write down captions. I tried storing my captions in Notion but that didn’t work for me. I find it easier to do it in Notes. Love how easily I can access them on all my devices.

🎧 Notion

I bought an Easlo social media planner template which cost $9. I’ve tried other free social media planner templates but none worked for me.

📆 Google Calendar

I use Google Calendar to keep track of collaboration due dates. I add events and reminders of when I need to send a draft, when I need to post, etc.

... Read moreYou know, as a content creator, one of the biggest challenges I face isn't always coming up with ideas, but actually capturing them efficiently before they vanish into thin air! That's where a reliable 'writedown app' truly becomes your best friend. While my original post highlighted the simplicity of iOS Notes, I wanted to dive a little deeper into why this seemingly basic app is such a powerhouse for my daily workflow, especially when it comes to those quick caption ideas or sudden bursts of inspiration. For me, the beauty of the iOS Notes app lies in its instant accessibility. It’s always right there on my smartphone screen, just a tap away. I don't have to wait for a complex app to load or navigate through multiple menus. When a brilliant caption idea pops into my head while I'm out walking or scrolling, I can literally pull out my phone, open Notes, and jot it down in seconds. This immediacy is crucial for maintaining a consistent content flow. I've personally found that trying to remember an idea for later often leads to losing the initial spark, or even forgetting it entirely! A little trick I use within Notes for better organization is to create specific folders. Instead of having one giant list, I have folders like 'Instagram Captions - Drafts,' 'Blog Post Ideas,' or even 'Future Video Concepts.' This way, when I'm ready to sit down and actually create, I'm not sifting through a messy feed of random thoughts. It’s all neatly categorized. Plus, the seamless sync across all my Apple devices means I can start a thought on my iPhone and seamlessly pick it up on my iPad or Mac without any hassle. This cross-device functionality is a game-changer for creators who are constantly on the go. Speaking of visuals, I often get asked about the actual interface of these apps, and I understand why seeing a mobile app screenshot can be so helpful! It gives you a real feel for how the app looks and operates before you even download it. That's why I tried to include those visual glimpses in my original post – because seeing is believing, right? For Notes, its clean, minimalist interface is perfect; it’s distraction-free, letting you focus purely on getting your thoughts down. Now, while iOS Notes is fantastic for quick capture and writing captions, sometimes you need a bit more heft for larger projects. This is where apps like Notion, which I also mentioned, come into play. For detailed content planning, scripting, or developing complex ideas, Notion's database features and customizable templates offer a more robust environment. I often use Notes for the initial spark, then transfer those ideas to Notion when they need to be fleshed out into a full-blown content piece. Think of Notes as your digital notepad for fleeting brilliance, and Notion as your organized digital workspace for building out those brilliant ideas. Ultimately, finding your perfect 'writedown app' and suite of organization apps is a personal journey. What works for one creator might not work for another. My advice is to experiment! But definitely prioritize apps that are intuitive, accessible, and seamlessly integrate into your existing tech ecosystem. For me, the combination of a simple, quick-capture tool like iOS Notes alongside a powerful planner like Notion has been the key to staying productive and keeping my content creation engine running smoothly.
