📖🔥 PRISCILLA — THE WOMAN WHO KNEW HER BIBLE AND WASN’T AFRAID TO USE IT
Let’s talk about Priscilla, because this woman was NOT just sitting in the background saying, “That’s my husband’s ministry.” 😂
Nope. Priscilla was out here serving, teaching, learning, and helping people understand the Gospel more accurately.
In Acts 18:24–26, a man named Apollos was powerful in Scripture and passionate about God, but he didn’t have the complete picture yet. Priscilla and her husband, Aquila, heard him teaching and pulled him aside privately to explain the way of God more accurately.
Notice something important:
Priscilla didn’t embarrass him publicly.
She didn’t jump on Facebook afterward with a 14-paragraph “Some people need to read their Bible” post. 😂
She didn’t turn correction into a competition.
She used wisdom, knowledge, humility, and love.
And that’s REAL spiritual maturity.
Priscilla shows us that a strong woman doesn’t have to be loud to have authority. She can be knowledgeable without being arrogant, confident without being disrespectful, and spiritually mature without needing to prove she’s the smartest person in the room.
And fellas, there’s something here for us too. 👀
A godly partnership isn't about one person always talking while the other just nods their head like, “Yes, dear.” 😂
Priscilla and Aquila worked TOGETHER.
They served together.
They taught together.
They grew together.
They helped others grow.
That’s partnership.

Priscilla reminds us:
Know the Word.
Know your purpose.
Know when to speak.
Know how to correct somebody without humiliating them.
And never confuse confidence with arrogance.
Because being spiritually mature isn't about knowing EVERYTHING.
It’s being humble enough to keep learning—and wise enough to help somebody else learn too.
Having reflected on Priscilla's role in Acts 18:24–26, I appreciate even more how her example teaches us about balancing confidence with humility. In my own journey of faith, I've often faced moments when correction was necessary—whether in discussions about Scripture or in everyday life—but doing so with kindness and respect, as Priscilla did, makes all the difference. What stood out the most is that Priscilla did not embarrass Apollos publicly but chose a private setting to offer guidance. This approach not only preserves dignity but also creates a safe space for growth and learning. It reminds me how crucial it is to consider how we communicate, especially on sensitive topics. Another valuable lesson from Priscilla and Aquila's partnership is how ministry and teamwork go hand in hand. Strong partnerships thrive on mutual respect and shared purpose—not one side dominating or dismissing the other's contributions. I've seen firsthand how working together in faith communities strengthens the impact we can have. Priscilla also reminds us that knowing the Word deeply empowers us to teach and correct constructively. But spiritual maturity goes beyond knowledge. It’s about ongoing learning and helping others learn without turning it into a contest of who’s the smartest. That balance of wisdom and love is something I strive to embody. In today’s world, where social media often encourages public calling out or arguing, Priscilla’s example challenges us to be intentional and gracious in how we engage with others. Her story encourages me to lead with humility and collaboration, striving always to uplift rather than criticize harshly. Overall, Priscilla’s example is a timeless lesson on godly partnership, effective teaching, and living out faith with integrity and love. Whether in personal relationships, church communities, or beyond, her story inspires a mature, humble approach to sharing truth and growing together.
